SHIJIAZHUANG: The city of Xingtai in north China’s Hebei Province has found 15 COVID-19 cases since it launched citywide nucleic acid testing on Wednesday, local authorities said at a press conference on Friday.
As of 3 p.m. Friday, the city had sampled more than 6.6 million people, accounting for over 94 percent of its permanent residents. It also completed acid testing on around 3 million people, according to the press conference.
Fifteen have tested positive for the coronavirus, all from Nangong, a county-level city administered by Xingtai. They are being treated at a designated hospital. – Agencies
