Lahore: 5-member delegation from Zimbabwe has expressed satisfaction over bio-secure arrangements here at Gaddafi Stadium.
The delegation also featuring representatives of Zimbabwe Cricket’s medical team toured Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s Director International Cricket, Zakir Khan led the tour and he was accompanied by PCb’s medical panel head, Dr Sohail Saleem.
The delegation will travel to Islamabad tomorrow and on Tuesday they will inspect the bio-secure arrangements at Pindi Cricket Stadium.
It must be noted here that Zimbabwe is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan in late October. The team will play three T20Is in Rawalpindi and as many ODIs at Gaddafi Stadium. Meanwhile, The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revised the schedule for Zimbabwe tour in October-November comprised of three T20Is and as many ODIs.
According to the details, Multan’s local government asked PCB to pay PKR 20 Crore as rent to conduct the ODI series. As a result of a dispute, the cricket board decided to shift matches at Gaddafi Stadium.
Now, according to the new schedule, Gaddafi Stadium will host three ODIs and Rawalpindi Stadium will host as many T20Is.

4 Nov – Travel to Lahore
5-6 Nov – Practice at Gaddafi Stadium
7 Nov – 1st T20I Gaddafi Stadium
8 Nov – 2nd T20I, Gaddafi Stadium
10 Nov – 3rd T20I, Gaddafi Stadium
12 Nov – Zimbabwe departure for Harare
ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 qualification
Pakistan will launch its bid to qualify directly for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 by taking on Zimbabwe in the three ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League matches in Rawalpindi on 30 October, 1 and 3 November.
The ICC has introduced the Super League to provide context to ODI cricket and will serve as a qualification for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 with the hosts and other top seven sides automatically booking their spots for the India event. Featuring 13 teams, the 12 Test playing countries and the Netherlands, the Super League will see each side play four home and four away three-match series.
