ISLAMABAD: DIG Operations Islamabad Afzaal Ahmed Kausar on Thursday said that the zonal officers to be present in the office and listen to the complainants from 4-5pm daily.
“All the zonal SPs and SDPOs to sit in one of the police stations of their zone to hear public complaints against police,†he added. He said while the SHOs to be present in the police stations from 3 to 5pm daily to entertain the crime victims and other complainants.
All these measures are being taken following the orders of IGP Islamabad Qazi Jamil Ur Rehman to lessen the public miseries and to provide them speedy justice, he said. DIG Afzaal Ahmed Kausar was of view that the list of names of officers and rosterm is also being shared with the public in this regard so that they can easily reach to the officer concerned.
“SSP Operations Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanweer will supervise the whole process aim of which to mitigate the maladies of public on urgent basis,†he said. Afzaal Ahmed Kausar said that IGP and he would also pay visit to ensure availability of the officers at the said time and place so that they could provide maximum relief to the citizens. He said the capital police are striving hard to facilitate the citizens on priority basis.
