ISLAMABAD: Following the special directions of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, the Zonal SPs held meetings with Imambargah administrators and peace committee members to ensure security, promote religious harmony, and create a peaceful atmosphere during the month of Muharram-ul-Haram.
On this occasion, all participants were urged to play their role in maintaining security and peace during Muharram-ul-Haram and to adhere to punctuality. The officers were directed to hold meetings with Imambargah administrators to ensure a secure and peaceful environment throughout the month. It was emphasized that any kind of negligence or carelessness in security arrangements would not be tolerated.
The Zonal SPs instructed peace committee members and organizers of the Majalis that processions must follow the designated routes and timings strictly. Officers were also directed to visit Imambargahs regularly to maintain close coordination. The administrators and peace committee members present at the meeting assured their full cooperation in all efforts to ensure peace and security.
Furthermore, the Zonal SPs stated that all officers must perform their duties with honesty and a strong sense of patriotism to ensure the safety of procession participants.
They emphasized that officers must strictly follow the security SOPs set by the police and administration and avoid any negligence in their duties to guarantee the peaceful conduct of processions and gatherings. Protecting the lives and property of citizens remains our top priority.
