ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police Zonal SPs, SDPOs and SHOs organized open courts in various masjids across the city to provide immediate assistance to the citizens.
During open courts, citizens presented their concerns and offered suggestions for improvement. Police officers gave immediate instructions to the relevant staff for resolving issues and assured the participants that their suggestions would be implemented.
Speaking to the participants, the officers said that in line with the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi open courts were being held to address public complaints and regional issues promptly.
They further emphasized that the IGP Islamabad clear instructions are for all officers to hold such courts within their areas to maintain direct contact with citizens and help solve their problems.
The officers reassured the participants that the police were constantly working to ensure their safety and that the issues raised would be addressed on a priority basis.
On the occasion, they also noted that due to the Islamabad Police improved strategy against criminals there has been a significant reduction in crime rates in the areas but efforts to enhance the situation are ongoing.
To effectively combat land grabbers, criminal activities and drug trafficking the police need public cooperation.
They highlighted that with community support a strong crackdown against such elements can be carried out and the fight against these social evils can be won.
The officers encouraged citizens to report any suspicious activities to their respective police stations so that swift actions could be taken against criminal elements. They stressed that positive outcomes can only be achieved with the cooperation of the public.
The participants expressed their appreciation for the open courts and extended their gratitude to the IGP Islamabad and all officers involved for their efforts to engage with the community and address the citizens concerns.
