ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives of the IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police has taken effective measures to ensure foolproof security in the federal capital.
In this regard, zonal SPs visited various Churches and duty points in the city and met with police officers and officials present on site. While reviewing the duties, they emphasized that the checking process should be made more effective and purposeful to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property.
On this occasion, they directed the officers deployed on security duties to remain alert at all times, ensure effective checking of suspicious individuals and vehicles, and immediately report any suspicious activity to the concerned authorities. They further stressed that citizens should be treated with courtesy and respect in order to strengthen the bond of trust between the police and the public.
The protection of citizens’ lives and property is the top priority of Islamabad Police, and all security measures are being taken with this objective in mind. Citizens were also urged to fully cooperate with the police and immediately report any suspicious person or activity to the relevant police station or the police helpline “Pucar-15”.
