ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops apprehended 14 criminals involved in criminal activities and recovered 120 liters alcohol, 408 bottles, brewing items, fake currency and weapons with ammunition from their possession.
DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chathahad ordered all zonal officers to curb the crime in their respective areas and arrest those involved in looting innocent people.
Following these directives, a CIA policeteam conducted a raid at the distillery and recovered 408 bottles wine, 120 liters alcohol, empty bottles, stickers and brewing items. Police team also nabbed two bootleggers namely Raza and Kalash while efforts are underway to arrest their accomplices. Cases have been registered against those running the distillery and further investigation is underway.
Likewise, Sangjani police team arrested two drug peddlers namely Ander Gul khan and Qasim Khan and recovered 2050 gram hashish from their possession. Tarnol police arrested two accused Sadaqat and Bilawar Khan and 1050 gram heroin and 1055 gram hashish from their possession, while police team also arrested accused namely Tayyab and recovered fake currency from his possession.
Moreover, Golra police team arrested an accused namely Hashim Jan and recovered 345 gram hashish from his possession. Bani Gala police arrested two accused namely Said Marwat and Mateenand two pistols along with ammunition from their possession.
Furthermore, Shalimar police team arrested an accused namely Arshad Ali and recovered a 9mm Pistol along with ammunition from hispossession. Khanna police arrested an accused namely Aamir Ali and recovered one 30 bore pistol along with ammunition from his possession.
Cases have beenregistered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. During a special crackdown against proclaimed offenders and court absconderspolice teams busted two proclaimed offenders.
DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha said that the safety of the lives andproperty of the citizens is our prime responsibility and no laxity will betolerated in this regard.
