17 held, valuables, drugs & weapons recovered

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have arrested 17 outlaws from different areas of the city.
Following the orders of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas massive anti criminal drive is going on in the city.
According to details, a police team of koral police station under supervision of SP Rural Zia Uddin headed by SHO Koral Muhammad Azeem Minhas along with other officials has arrested 06 outlaws involved in possessing illegal weapons who were identified as Shahnawaz, Maqsood Khan, Jabeel Ahmad, Syed Ali Shah, Anwar Saeed and Ahmad Muneer. Police team also recovered 04 pistols, one MP5 gun and ammunition. Likewise, Secretariat police team has arrested an accused Shahid Akbar and recovered one 9mm pistol, Bhara Kahu police team arrested two accused Mir Vaiz and Ibne Ameen and recovered 1240 gram heroine. Similarly, Golra police arrested a drug peddler naemly Nasir and recovered 260 gram hashish. Karachi company police also arrested a drug peddler namely Allah Rehm and recovered 1175 gram hashish. Sihala police arrested two accused Naveed Ahmad and Gul Nawaz and recovered two 30 bore pistols. Furthermore, Lohi Bher police arrested a bike lifter namely Jameel and recovered one stolen bike. Khanna police arrested and accused for possessing illegal weapon namely Suleman Qureshi and recovered one 9mm pistol. Industrial-Area police recovered a pistol from an accused Sohail. A police team of Shehzad Town police arrested headed by SHO Shehzad Town Fazle Khaliq with other officials has arrested a fraudster namely Ibrahim Kiani involved in numerous cases of fraud with citizens. The accused was also wanted to Khanna, Koral, Shehzad Town police stations. Cases against all the accused have been registered and further investigation is underway. IGP Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas has appreciated the performance and further directed to intensify the security in their respective areas.
