23 caught in 24 hours

ISLAMABAD: SSP Operations Islamabad Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer has said that Capital Cops were trying their best to secure the capital and to ensure the safety of its citizens. SSP Operations said that cops were accelerating all-out efforts to curb crime. During the past 24 hours, he said that 23 criminals were arrested during crackdown against outlaws.
According to details, SP (Rural-Zone) Rana Abdul Wahab constituted special police team under the supervision of SHO Sihala along with other officials which arrested five accused who used to swindle passengers at public service vehicle. They were identified as Ali, Shahbaz, Hasnain, Ali and Naeem. The accused confessed their involvement in numerous incidents within Islamabad. Further investigation is underway from them. Moreover, Khanna police team under the supervision of SHO Khanna arrested two bike lifters identified as Musafar Faryad and Ikhlaq and recovered stolen motorbike and spare parts from their possession. Another police team from Khanna raided at distillery at Sanam chowk, arrested accused Naeem Javed and recovered 250 bottles of liquor and other items. Moreover, SP Saddar Zone Hamza Humayun constituted police team under the supervision of SHO Golra including other officials arrested three ccused identified as Sami, Asad, and Samer and recovered stolen car from their possession. Meanwhile, Shahzad Town police arrested accused Ejaz and recovered five wine bottles from him. Women police team apprehended lady accused Noor ul Ain and recovered 1.220 kilogram hashish from her. Karachi Company police arrested accused Hayat Shah and recovered 115 gram hashish from him. Lohibher police arrested two accused Mansoor Khan and Noman and recovered 205 gram hashish and one 30 bore pistol from their possession. Ramna police arrested accused Shafqat and recovered one 30 bore pistol, 300 gram ice, 180 gram heroine and 55 gram opium from him. Industrial Area police arrested two accused Zirk Khan and Washal and recovered two pistols from their possession. Tarnol police arrested a kite seller and recovered kites and string from him. Shahzad Town police arrested a kite seller namely Ayaz Hussain and recovered kites and strings from him. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. SSP Operations Islamabad Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer has appreciated the performance and directed all police officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities. He said that it is the collective responsibility of the every person of the society to remain alert against those involved in criminal activities in their surroundings and inform police for action against them.
