ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police Bani Gala police team arrested three wanted members of a snatcher gang involved in injuring the citizen during the resistance, shooting and injuring the dolphin officer and firing on the police party to free the co-accused and recovered weapon and motorbike used in crime from their possession.
Following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directions, the Bani Gala police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending three wanted members of a snatcher gang.
The accused were identified as Faizan Mehmood, Zahid Mehmood and Hasnain Mehmood.
Police team also recovered motorbike and weapon used in crime from their possession.
During the preliminary interrogation, the accused confessed to being involved in in injuring the citizen during the resistance, shooting and injuring the dolphin officer and firing on the police party to free the co-accused. Cases were registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
