3 suspects of infamous dacoit gang Romeo Color busted

ISLAMABAD: In a significant operation, the Islamabad capital police Kohsar police station has successfully apprehended three members of the notorious dacoit gang known as Romeo Color.
The arrests were made following an intensive investigation, resulting in the recovery of 16 valuable mobile phones and a substantial amount of cash. This breakthrough has shed light on more than 25 criminal incidents, the accused were also involved in looting journalists and last month they also robbed a French citizen on a gunpoint.


The three-member gang had been operating for the past 3 to 4 months within the jurisdiction of Kohsar Police Station. Their criminal activities spanned multiple locations, including Hill Road, Parbat Road, Blue Area, Fazal-ul-Haq Road, Stock Exchange Meter Station, Sector F-6, and Sector F-7. Promptly taking notice of their nefarious actions, the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan assigned the task of apprehending the gang and recovering stolen goods.
Following these directions, the Officer In-charge Kohsar Police Station Shafqat Faiz and his team comprised of ASI Fawad Khalid used technical resources and core deployment which result in apprehending of three members of the notorious gang.
The police team also recovered 125 motorcycles, weapons with ammunition, as well as valuable mobile phones worth million of rupees from their possession. During the preliminary interrogation, the nabbed accused confessed to being involved in more than 25 criminal incidents.
Apart from the jurisdiction of Kohsar police station, this gang also operate in the jurisdiction of Karachi Company, Aabpara, and Industrial Area police station. The accused are known to have a history of dangerous criminal activities.
Notably, the recovery process has yielded significant results, including the retrieval of iPhones belonging to a French citizen and prominent media persons. Furthermore, the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) numbers of the mobile phones recovered from the suspects’ possession are being analyzed for further investigation.
Expressing their appreciation for the remarkable achievement, the ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan and CPO, DIG Operations Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari, extended their congratulations to the diligent police team. They also announced commendation prizes for the officers involved in the successful operation.
