BEIJING: A music-themed park, refurbished from old factories, opened in Beijing Friday, featuring a medley of activities including an audio exhibition, live concerts and talks on music. Located in Chaoyang District, the Beijing Music Industry Park covers a total area of 306 hectares. It has been built after local industrial plants were relocated out of Beijing as part of the city’s efforts to remove functions non-essential to its role as China’s capital, said Yang Lin, general manager of the park. The park has reached strategic cooperation with more than 20 relevant enterprises, according to Yang. The 2020 Beijing International Audio Exhibition also commenced along with the opening of the musical park. The exhibition that will last for three days is allowing visitors to experience advanced audio technology and learn about the history of recording technology in a studio. – Agencies
