-Recover stolen bikes, valuables, drugs

ISLAMABAD: SSP Operations Syed Mustafa Tanveer on Saturday said that efforts were afoot to make Islamabad safest city as it was foremost priority of the federal capital police. Following the directions of IGP Islamabad Qazi-Jamil ur-Rehman, DIG Operations Islamabad Afzaal Ahmed Kausar assigned task to SSP Operations Dr Syed Mustafa Tanveer for effective action against those involved in anti-social activities.
SP Saddar-Zone Muhammad Sarfraz Virk constituted police team under the supervision of ASP Ramana Circle Ueman Munair including PS Shalimar’s SHO Inspector Arshad Ali and others. This team arrested a former jailbird motorbike lifter Sulman and recovered two stolen motorbikes from him. Case has been registered against him and further investigation is underway from him.
Furthermore, PS Golra busted a thief Rabnawaz and recovered stolen mobile phone and valuable from him. PS Golra nabbed two accused Zareef and Aftab and recovered 20 tin beer from him and the police team also arrested an Afghan national accused Abdul Wakeel. PS Tarnol caught 3 accused Mazher, Baber and Abdul Rehman and recovered 295 gram heroin and one 30 bore pistol from their possession. PS Koral apprehended accused Imran and recovered 10 liters of wine from him. PS Nilore booked accused Talat and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him while Homicide Units of cops recovered a dagger from the possession of arrested accused Asher Ali.
Smilarly, PS Industrial Area arrested three accused including a proclaimed offender and a bike lifter and recovered two stolen bikes. Moreover, the accused further admitted of stealing six other stolen bikes. SP I-Area Zone have appreciated the good work of the investigation officers. Separate cases have been registered against the nabbed accused while further investigation is underway from the accused.
SSP Operations Dr Syed Mustafa Tanveer has appreciated the performance and directed all Station House Officers for effective crackdown against that involvement in drug peddling activities. He asked for renewed efforts to curb such practices and get rid of society from such menace. He said that performance in this regard would be reviewed on continuous basis. SSP Operations also categorically asked all police officials to focus on resolving the public complaints and take every possible step to provide maximum relief to citizens.
