‘Punjab to take actions against sugar mafia’

RAWALPINDI: Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab on Information Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the provincial government will take strict actions against sugar mafia.
Talking to media in Rawalpindi Thursday, she said the provincial government will regulate the business of sugar and strict legislations will be made in this regard.
Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said that Punjab government has also decided to import two hundred thousand ton sugar to meet the shortage.
She said provincial government is committed to ensure all possible facilities to the farmers and bold steps are being taken in this regard.
She said that notification regarding increase in salaries of provincial government employees will be issued very soon as per decision of Federal Government.
