Islamabad Police committed to resolve public grievances: IGP

ISLAMABAD: April 26, 2022: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas is holding khuli kacheries on daily bases to listen and solve public grievances on a priority basis, a police spokesman said.
On Tuesday the IGP marked application of missing women and another application of car theft to the relevant police officers and strictly directed them to resolve all cases on priority bases and on a given time frame.
On another application submitted by the citizen in Khuli Kacheri for illegal possession on his land, IGP reprimanded and gave warning to SDPO shahzad town and SHO Khanna and strictly ordered them to resolve the case on merit and priority basis.
The IGP marked an application against police official to Internal Accountability Unit for enquiry and sought report on it within 03 days. He also gave warning to SHO PS Tarnol for not tracing the culprits of car theft and strictly directed him to trace the accused within ten days otherwise strict action will be taken.
He also strictly directed all zonal officers to listen to public complaints and resolve them purely on merit.
“No laxity will be tolerated in this regard” he added.
Islamabad police chief emphasized that Islamabad police is committed to resolve the public grievances on priority and on merit.
“We are public servants and to secure the life and property of the citizens is our foremost priority” the IGP maintained.

He further stated that a massive campaign against drug menace and land grabbers is on full swing.

The IGP directed all the police officials to adopt courteous attitude with the complainants visiting police stations and accomplish their responsibilities in a professional manner.
