Burglars gang busted, 18 laptops & valuables recovered

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have busted a three member burglar’s gang and recovered 18 laptops, 04 phones and ladies luggage bags from their possession.
Two robbery incidents occurred at a girl’s hostel in the jurisdiction of PS Shahzad Town, when inmates left for their native town to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr.
The IGP Islamabad Ahsan Younas took strict notice and directed the police to arrest the culprits on priority.
Following the directives SSP Operation Faisal Kamran constituted a special police team headed by SHO Shahzad Town Fazal Khaliq along with ASI Akhthar Abbas, ASI Zaheer Ahmed and other officials. The Police team used the latest technology and human sources and arrested three accused namely Inam ul Rehman, Maaz Khan and Sami ullah.
The team also recovered 11 laptops in case no. 319/22 section 380/457/411 and 06 laptops and two mobile phones in case no. 326/22 section 380/457/411 from their possession. Further investigation is underway.
While reviewing the performance, IGP Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas and SSP Operation Faisal Kamran have appreciated it. IGP Islamabad also directed all zonal SP’s to take stern action against criminal elements involved in street crimes and house robberies and arrest the culprits.
