ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Wednesday withdrew its plea from the Supreme Court (SC) for quashing the bail of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Shehbaz Gill.
SC Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial conducted the in-chamber proceeding.
Advocate Rizwan Abbasi appeared in the chamber and submitted that Shahbaz Gill had committed the crime again and a new case was registered against him.
He contended that an application will be filed in the forum concerned for the cancellation of Shahbaz Gill’s bail. The top court accepted the federal government’s request and dispose of the petition.
