ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, chaired the Operational Commanders Conference at the Central Police Office (CPO) Islamabad. The meeting was attended by DIG Law & Order/Training Muhammad Atiq Tahir, AIG Logistics Abdul Haq Umrani, AIG Operations/Investigations Syed Inayat Ali Shah, along with SSPs and Zonal SPs.
During the meeting, the IGP Islamabad reviewed in detail the overall performance of the police, security measures, use of technology and ongoing projects aimed at facilitating the public. He directed all officers to give top priority to serving citizens and ensuring the effective enforcement of the law, while further improving initiatives in line with modern requirements.
He also issued orders to intensify operations against criminal elements, expand the scope of the “Nasha Ab Nahi” campaign, and provide maximum online facilities for citizens’ convenience.
IGP Islamabad emphasized that training programs should be further enhanced to strengthen the professional capacity of police officers. He reaffirmed that the Islamabad Police is fully committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens and maintaining law and order in the federal capital.
Issuing directions to all operational commanders, he directed them to ensure better coordination with their subordinate teams. All commanders were also directed to maintain strict departmental accountability while giving special attention to the welfare of police officers and officials, and to brief their teams on a daily basis.
IGP Islamabad also chaired an important meeting regarding police welfare and development projects. The meeting was attended by DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, AIG General/Development, SSP Operations Islamabad, and the Assistant Director Planning/Development.
He reviewed in detail the ongoing projects for the welfare of police officers, officials, and their families. On this occasion, he directed all officers to ensure that all ongoing projects in the Islamabad Police are completed on time with full transparency and high standards. He stated that the top priority of the Islamabad Police is to ensure the welfare of its officers, personnel, and their families.
