DSP retires after 40 years of departmental service

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Abdul Sattar has retired from the Islamabad Police after serving the department for 40 years. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, met with the retired DSP and paid tribute to his long service, professional competence, integrity and dedication to the department.
On this occasion, he said that officers like Abdul Sattar are a valuable asset to the institution, who have set high standards of justice, lawfulness, and public service during their careers. To benefit further from his experience and abilities, his services will be utilized in the Investigation Wing of Islamabad Police.
He also extended his best wishes to the retired police officer and presented him with an honorary police shield. A farewell ceremony in honor of the retired DSP Abdul Sattar was also held at the SP Saddar Office. SP Saddar Zone Kazim Naqvi, SDPOs, SHOs, and other police officers attended the event.
While appreciating the services of the retiring officer, SP Saddar Zone said that retirement is a natural part of service—whoever starts the service must one day retire. You have served the police department for a long time; during service, we should all strive to perform deeds that bring honor to our names and leave a positive legacy. We must pledge to seek the pleasure of Allah by serving the public as much as possible during our careers.
He further added that you have spent a valuable part of your life serving the public through the police department. In return, the police department has also given you respect, dignity, and a position for which you should be grateful to Allah.
