Iran foreign trade exceeds $85b in 9 months

Tehran: The Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) has put the Iranian foreign trade in the first nine months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21) at more than $85 billion.

Iranian foreign trade value reached $85.394 billion between March 21 and December 22, 2025, IRICA noted.

In this period, the Iranian total foreign trade reached 148.226 million tons, valued at $85.394 billion, showing a 10.92 percent decrease in value and 1.36 percent increase in volume, compared to the last year’s corresponding period.

According to IRICA, Iran exported 118.901 million tons of various types of goods, valued at $41.243 billion, to different countries from March 21 to December 22, 2025, indicating a one percent growth in weight and 5.78 percent decrease in value, compared to the same period last year.

In return, the country imported 29.325 million tons of goods, valued at $44.151 billion, between March 21 and December 22, 2025, registering a 2.75 percent increase in weight and 15.23 percent decrease in value, compared to the last year’s corresponding period, IRICA added.
