ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, reviewed the security arrangements made in the federal capital during the times of Taraweeh and Fajr prayers.
In this regard, the IGP Islamabad visited different areas of the city and inspected the duties and security arrangements of police officers and personnel deployed at worship places and other important locations. He also met the officers and personnel on duty and appreciated their performance.
IGP Islamabad said that during the month of Ramadan, effective and comprehensive security arrangements have been made to provide a safe environment for citizens, especially in view of the gatherings during Taraweeh prayers. Police officers and personnel of Islamabad Police have been deployed at worship places and other sensitive locations in different areas of the city to maintain law and order.
He issued instructions to the officers and personnel on duty to perform their duties with vigilance, responsibility, and professionalism, and to ensure the protection of the lives and property of the public at all costs.
IGP Islamabad further said that Islamabad Police is taking all possible measures to ensure the safety of citizens and to provide a peaceful environment, and all available resources are being utilized for this purpose.
Later, IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held an open court at the Central Police Office Islamabad under the open door policy. During the open court, he listened to the issues of citizens and police officers and issued immediate instructions for their resolution.
IGP Islamabad directed officers that resolving citizens issues promptly and on merit is their top priority. Any citizen facing a problem related to the police can come to the open court. My doors are always open for the citizens, IGP said.
On the complaints of citizens, the IGP Islamabad directed the concerned officers to resolve the applications on merit within the given timeframe and submit a report to the Central Police Office. He emphasized that the protection of citizens lives and property and resolving their issues remain the top priority of Islamabad Police.
