ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police Shams Colony and Aabpara police teams used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending two wanted members of criminal gangs. The notorious gangs were involved in numerous bike lifting and theft activities. Police teams also recovered three stolen motorbikes, laptop and weapons ammunition from their possession.
The arrested accused were identified as Talal and Ejaz. Cases have already been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq stated that strict actions are being carried out against individuals involved in motorcycle theft and street robbery in Islamabad. As a result of these operations, a noticeable decline has been observed in incidents of motorcycle theft and street robbery in the federal capital. He directed all officers to continue the crackdown against criminal elements and ensure that they are brought to justice. He also appealed to citizens to cooperate with the police and immediately report any suspicious activity or objects to the nearest police station or the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.”
