Islamabad subsidy program targets farmers

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has launched a subsidy program in Islamabad to support farmers owning up to 12.5 acres of land, with a simple 3-step registration process.
Officials said the initiative aims to provide direct relief and improve access to support services for small landholders.
According to the announcement, farmers with land ownership of less than 12.5 acres will be eligible to benefit from the subsidy program.
The registration process has been made accessible through the Pakistan Asaan Khidmat App, where farmers can apply in three steps. Applicants are required to enter personal details and upload relevant documents to complete their registration. Once the information is submitted, eligible farmers will be included in the subsidy program.
For farmers who do not have access to smartphones, the government has provided an alternative option. They can contact the helpline by dialing 1725 to receive guidance and complete their registration process. Officials stated that the program is designed to ensure that support reaches farmers through a clear and simple system. By offering both digital and phone-based registration, the government aims to include farmers from different areas and ensure wider participation in the subsidy scheme. –Agencies
