ISLAMABAD: The district administration on Wednesday removed more than 250 illegal cabins set up outside homes during an operation across several sectors of the federal capital. Officials said the drive covered multiple areas and resulted in the removal of dozens of structures in each sector, with strict instructions to continue action without exception.
The operation targeted cabins placed outside residential properties in violation of rules. In Sector F-6, 9 cabins were removed, while 113 cabins were cleared from Sector F-7. In Sector G-6 and G-7, a total of 28 cabins were dismantled during the operation.
Further action was carried out in other areas of the city. In Sector G-10, 22 cabins were removed, while 28 cabins were cleared from Sector G-11. In Sectors F-10 and F-11 combined, authorities removed 51 cabins. In the industrial area, 6 cabins were also taken down as part of the campaign.
Officials said that in total, more than 250 cabins were removed from outside houses in different parts of the city. The administration stated that placing cabins outside homes is not allowed under existing regulations.
In this regard, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon said there is zero permission for setting up cabins outside residential properties. He said the administration is committed to enforcing rules and ensuring that public spaces are not used for private purposes.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed assistant commissioners to continue operations in all areas without any distinction. He instructed field teams to maintain regular monitoring and take action wherever violations are found.
Authorities said the operation aims to clear public spaces and ensure that residential areas remain free from unauthorized structures. They added that such drives will continue in phases to cover all sectors of the city.
Residents were also advised to comply with regulations and avoid placing any structures outside their homes. The administration warned that further violations would lead to strict action.
The district administration reaffirmed its stance that enforcement of rules will continue and no illegal cabins will be allowed to operate outside houses in Islamabad.
