ISLAMABAD: SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza held a meeting with SSP Safe City Rawalpindi Aamna Baig. On this occasion, Assistant Director Safe City Islamabad Abbas Mehdi and other officers were also present.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on crime tracing, particularly measures to resolve vehicle theft cases in the shortest possible time. It was decided that the Safe City networks of Islamabad and Rawalpindi would be interconnected to enhance quick response and make joint operations more effective.
It was also emphasized that the police of both districts would work as one team and promote coordination in all Safe City-related matters. To ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property and the swift arrest of criminal elements, 24-hour monitoring and real-time coordination were declared essential.
Furthermore, SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza chaired a meeting of Zonal SPs, in which the law and order situation, crime prevention, and security measures across the city were reviewed.
The meeting was attended by SP Saddar Zone Kazim Naqvi, SP Sawan Zone Muhammad Khurram Ashraf, SP City Zone Dr. Ayaz Hussain, SP Rural Zone Zeeshan Ali, SP Industrial Area Zone Hasnain Waris, and other officers.
SSP Operations Islamabad directed all officers to conclude under-investigation cases as soon as possible. He further instructed that all available resources be utilized to prevent crime and ensure the arrest of suspects involved in murder and attempted murder cases. Targeted operations should be conducted against proclaimed offenders and members of active criminal gangs.
Strict action should be taken against illegal weapons, drug dealers, and land-grabbing mafias. Patrolling should be made more effective and purposeful, ensuring that all patrol units remain active and present in the field at all times. All available resources should be utilized to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property.
He further warned that any negligence or carelessness in the performance of duties would not be tolerated under any circumstances. Protecting the lives and property of citizens remains the top priority. Islamabad Police is committed to maintaining law and order in the city, upholding the rule of law, and restoring public trust.
