IGP reviews law & order, training, IT projects

ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, held important meetings at the Central Police Office. The meetings were attended by DIG Headquarters, DIG Law & Order/Training, SSP CTD, SP Soan zone, Director IT, and other senior officers.
During the meetings, detailed discussions were held regarding the administrative affairs of Islamabad Police, the overall law and order situation, training initiatives, and modern IT projects.
The security situation, counter-terrorism measures, enhancement of professional capabilities, and ongoing operations against criminal elements were also comprehensively reviewed.
IGP Islamabad directed that inter-departmental coordination be further strengthened and performance improved to ensure the delivery of effective, timely, and modern facilities to the public.
He emphasized that the protection of citizens lives and property remains the top priority and stressed the need to make security arrangements more effective and accelerate operations against crime through modern strategies.
Furthermore, in a meeting with the SP Soan zone, IGP Islamabad reviewed crime prevention measures in the zone, the effectiveness of the patrolling system, timely relief to citizens, and the progress of ongoing investigations.
He directed stricter and more effective action against criminal elements, drug dealers, and proclaimed offenders, while emphasizing the need to further raise the standard of public service.
Later, in a meeting with the Director IT, the IGP Islamabad discussed Safe City expansion projects, modern IT initiatives, and online services being provided to citizens.
On this occasion, he directed that technology be effectively utilized to make the policing system more modern, integrated, and citizen-friendly. He stated that Islamabad Police is utilizing all available resources to ensure the protection of citizens, maintain law and order, and promote policing aligned with modern requirements, while public trust and a transparent system will be ensured at every level.
