CTO orders strict enforcement of traffic laws

ISLAMABAD: Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, held an important meeting at his office. The meeting was attended by senior officers of Islamabad Traffic Police.
During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted regarding traffic flow in the federal capital, issues faced during rush hours, implementation of traffic laws, and difficulties being faced by citizens.
Addressing the meeting, the CTO Islamabad stated that providing citizens with safe, organized, and uninterrupted travel facilities is the top priority of Islamabad Traffic Police. He issued directions to further strengthen strict and impartial action against traffic law violators and emphasized that the rule of law would be ensured at all costs.
He directed the deployment of additional personnel on major roads, intersections, and busy points during rush hours in order to improve traffic flow and save citizens from unnecessary inconvenience. The meeting also specifically discussed a comprehensive strategy to deal with increasing traffic pressure during the timings of educational institutions, commercial centers, and offices.
CTO Islamabad instructed officers to adopt a professional and courteous attitude towards citizens during duty and further enhance public awareness campaigns regarding traffic laws to promote responsible driving behavior among the public.
He further stated that indiscriminate action would continue against wrong parking, lane violations, riding motorcycles without helmets, over-speeding, and other traffic violations, adding that implementation of traffic laws is the guarantee of safe travel.
