ISLAMABAD: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Security Islamabad Rana Umar Farooq chaired a meeting with SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and other security officers to review the security arrangements for Chinese nationals residing and working in the federal capital.
During the meeting, a comprehensive review was conducted of the security measures at the residences of Chinese nationals, various development projects, and other sensitive locations. The officers briefed the DIG Security Islamabad on deployment plans, security duties, monitoring mechanisms, and the overall security situation.
DIG Security Islamabad directed the officers to ensure that security arrangements at the residences and project sites of Chinese nationals remain robust, well-coordinated, and foolproof. He instructed them to maintain constant vigilance, implement effective checking procedures, strengthen surveillance, and ensure an immediate response to any emergency situation.
He further emphasized that the protection of the lives and property of Chinese nationals is one of Islamabad Police’s top priorities. He made it clear that any negligence or lapse in security duties would not be tolerated. He also directed all officers to ensure strict compliance with the prescribed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain close coordination with all relevant departments to further strengthen the overall security framework.
