IGP reviews law & order, crime prevention

ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired an important meeting, which was attended by DIG Headquarters Muhammad Jawad Tariq and other senior police officers.
The meeting reviewed the law and order situation, crime prevention, investigative and operational matters, security arrangements, and the overall performance of Islamabad Police. The concerned officers briefed the IGP Islamabad on the progress of ongoing operations, investigations and departmental initiatives.
IGP Islamabad directed the officers to adopt effective and coordinated strategies for crime prevention, intensify action against criminal elements, and ensure the timely completion of investigations in accordance with merit and the law. He also directed officers to strengthen field presence, patrolling, checkpoints and checking mechanisms, while maintaining effective security arrangements at important and sensitive locations.
Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi emphasized that protecting citizens’ lives and property, maintaining law and order, preventing crime, and providing timely and quality police services are among the top priorities of Islamabad Police. He directed officers to ensure courteous and professional conduct with citizens and the prompt resolution of public complaints.
IGP Islamabad further directed officers to ensure effective implementation and regular follow-up of all instructions and to utilize available resources and modern technology to further improve police performance and public service delivery.
