ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry conducted a citywide visit and reviewed the overall law and order situation, security arrangements, police field deployment, operational preparedness, response mechanism and deployment of field force across the federal capital. Senior police officers accompanied the IGP Islamabad during the visit.
IGP Islamabad met police officers and personnel deployed on security duties at various locations and inspected the security and policing arrangements on the ground. Senior officers briefed him on the overall security situation in the city, ongoing police operations and field deployment.
In view of the anticipated law and order situation, the IGP Islamabad reviewed the operational preparedness, response mechanism and deployment of field force. He directed officers to remain fully alert and ensure an effective response to any attempt to disrupt law and order.
IGP Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry directed that all available resources be utilized effectively to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property and maintain a peaceful environment in the federal capital. He further directed police officers and personnel to perform their duties with responsibility, professionalism and vigilance.
Later, a meeting of senior officers of Islamabad Police was held under the chairmanship of IG Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry. The meeting discussed maintaining law and order across the district, taking effective action against criminal elements, measures to facilitate citizens and further strengthening public-friendly policing.
The IGP Islamabad directed officers to focus on crime prevention, ensure the timely and effective delivery of police services to citizens, and maintain a courteous and professional approach towards the public. He stated that Islamabad Police would continue to utilize all available resources to protect citizens, uphold the rule of law and further strengthen professional policing.
