ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police IIGP) Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry visited the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Headquarters, where SSP CTD Saud Khan briefed him on counter-terrorism measures, ongoing operations across the district, security arrangements at sensitive locations and the practical training of officers and personnel.
IGP Islamabad reviewed the overall performance of CTD and directed officers to continue strengthening counter-terrorism measures and training activities. He emphasized that professional training, operational preparedness and timely response are essential for effectively countering terrorism and emerging security threats.
Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry also distributed certificates of appreciation among CTD officers and personnel who demonstrated dedication to their duties and outstanding performance, appreciating their commitment and professional services.
During the visit, the IGP Islamabad also planted a sapling at the CTD Headquarters. On the occasion, he said, “Trees are a guarantee of a beautiful and safe environment for our future generations. Promoting plantation is a shared responsibility of us all.”
Later, IGP Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry, accompanied by SSP Model Prisons Islamabad Ali Akbar, visited Islamabad Model Prison. The IGP reviewed the ongoing construction work and inspected various sections of the facility.
He directed the concerned officers to maintain the required quality standards throughout the construction process and ensure that the remaining work is completed at the earliest. He also emphasized effective supervision of construction activities and strict adherence to quality standards.
