ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry chaired an important meeting with DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem, DIG Headquarters Muhammad Jawad Tariq and SSP Security/Administration Muhammad Shehryar Khan. The meeting reviewed law and order, security arrangements, policing matters and ongoing measures to ensure effective and timely service delivery to citizens.
IGP Islamabad directed the officers to prioritize professional policing, effective monitoring, and the protection and facilitation of citizens. He emphasized that police officers should perform their duties with professionalism, dedication and a strong sense of responsibility.
Later, IGP Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry, accompanied by DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem, visited the G-14 checkpoint, where he reviewed security arrangements and met with the officers and officials deployed on duty.
He was briefed on the security situation, checkpoint arrangements and the checking process.
IGP Islamabad directed the officers and officials to remain highly vigilant, ensure effective and thorough checking of suspicious individuals and vehicles, and take every possible measure to protect the lives and property of citizens. He said effective checking at checkpoints plays an important role in restricting the movement of criminal elements and strengthening overall security.
Meanwhile, IGP Islamabad continues to encourage and recognize officers and officials who demonstrate outstanding performance across various divisions of Islamabad Police. Appreciation certificates were issued to officers and officials for their dedication to duty, professional expertise, hard work and notable contributions to public service.
IGP Islamabad said that officers and officials demonstrating outstanding performance are a valuable asset to the police department. Recognizing their efforts encourages greater dedication, professionalism and commitment across the force.
He emphasized that providing quality service delivery and timely relief to citizens remains a foremost priority of Islamabad Police.
