ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry, five Sub-Inspectors & 35 Assistant Sub Inspectors were promoted to the next ranks.
In this regard, a ceremony was held at the Central Police Office Islamabad, where IGP Islamabad, DIG Headquarters Muhammad Jawad Tariq, DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem and other senior police officers pinned the new ranks on the promoted officers. They congratulated the officers and extended their best wishes for their future responsibilities.
On the occasion, IGP Islamabad said that promotions were recognition of the officers’ hard work, professional competence and dedicated service to the department. However, he emphasized that their responsibilities had also increased with their new ranks. He directed the officers to perform their duties with diligence, integrity, a strong sense of responsibility and dedication, while upholding the rule of law and merit. He also stressed the importance of courteous and respectful conduct towards citizens, ensuring quality police services and resolving their issues promptly. Protecting citizens’ lives and property and ensuring the timely resolution of their grievances remain among the top priorities of Islamabad Police.
Furthermore, IGP Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry invited officers and officials of the Operations Division, Saddar Zone, who had demonstrated outstanding performance in protecting citizens’ lives and property, preventing crime and discharging their duties responsibly, to the Central Police Office. In recognition of their professional services, he presented them with commendation certificates. IGP said that officers and officials who perform their duties with dedication, hard work and professionalism are valuable assets of Islamabad Police.
He added that recognizing outstanding performance not only encourages those being honored but also motivates the entire force to work with greater commitment and responsibility.
