ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry Friday said that Pakistan’s future depends on the talent, knowledge and hard work of its youth. He made these remarks while attending an awards and certificates ceremony organized by the Pakistan American Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce (PACCC) as the chief guest.
The minister presented awards and certificates to the students and highlighted the importance of mentorship in preparing young people for their future careers.
He thanked the PACCC leadership for inviting him and appreciated its efforts to recognise students and help them learn from experienced professionals.
He said that students faced important questions about their future, including which fields to pursue and how to prepare for a changing job market. Practical experience, career guidance and mentorship could help young people make informed choices and build confidence, he added.
The minister said mentorship was particularly valuable when experienced professionals shared their knowledge, challenges and lessons with young people.
Such guidance could help students set clear goals, develop relevant skills and approach their careers with greater confidence and purpose, he said.
Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry also highlighted the role of Pakistani-Americans in strengthening educational, professional and business ties between Pakistan and the United States.
He said closer links between the business communities of the two countries could create opportunities for young people and promote knowledge-sharing and cooperation.
The minister urged the students to remain curious, ask questions, seek guidance from mentors and set clear objectives. He encouraged them to make the most of available opportunities and work with determination to achieve their goals. Media representatives also attended the ceremony, including Express News Bureau Chief Aamir Ilyas Rana, Nayyer Ali of 365 and Behzad Saleemi of Samaa.
They congratulated the students who received awards and certificates and appreciated their families, mentors and PACCC for supporting their progress.
