IHRA assesses Polyclinic hospital for licensing

Staff Report

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Healthcare Regulatory Authority (IHRA) has conducted a licensing assessment of the Federal Government Polyclinic Hospital (FGPC) to evaluate its compliance with prescribed healthcare standards and ensure the provision of safe and quality medical services.
During the assessment, IHRA evaluators examined the hospital against the indicators outlined in the Minimum Service Delivery Standards (MSDS) and prepared a comprehensive report documenting their findings.
The assessment forms part of the ongoing licensing process and reflects IHRA’s regulatory mandate to ensure that healthcare establishments meet the required standards of patient safety, quality of care and public health before a licence is issued.
The exercise aims to assess the hospital’s compliance with established service delivery requirements and promote improvements in healthcare quality and patient safety.
Through such assessments, IHRA seeks to strengthen regulatory oversight of healthcare facilities in the federal capital and ensure that medical institutions adhere to prescribed standards for delivering safe, effective and reliable healthcare services.
