Cops catch eight during crackdown against criminals

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops, in a bid to tighten noose around anti-social elements, arrested eight outlaws from various parts of the city.
According to details, PS Khanna’s SHO SI Mirza Muhammad Gulfraz along with his team, apprehended two drug peddlers namely Ameer Subhani and Muhammad Idrees and recovered 220 grams of heroine from their possession.
PS Industrial Area caught accused Asif Maseeh and recovered 120 grams hashish while two accused namely Ansar Ali and Saadat Ali, involved in threatening a citizen were also held.
Similarly, PS Margalla busted a liquor seller namely Mustafa Baig and recovered one bottle wine from him while PS Golra nabbed two Afghan nationals Abid and Hidat Ullah, living in Pakistan illegally.
Separate cases have been registered against the accused while further legal proceedings are underway. Moreover, During special inspection around the Capital, cops also apprehended four proclaimed offenders.
DIG Operations Islamabad Waqar-ud-din Syed has appreciated the performance while directing all police officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities. He said that Capital Cops would also safeguard it’s youth from various evils like abuse of drugs and ensure brighter future of them. He said that it was the collective responsibility of every person of the society to remain alert against those involved in criminal activities in their surroundings and to inform the cops accordingly.
