BEIJING: China will promote the inclusion of aesthetic assessment into high school admission standards on a pilot basis before expanding the scheme to cover the whole nation by 2022, said Wang Dengfeng, a senior official with the Ministry of Education. Students’ performance in physical and aesthetic education will be given more weight in the assessment, Wang said at a press conference on Friday, when elaborating on a set of guidelines on improving physical and aesthetic education in schools recently issued by the general offices of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council.– Agencies
