BEIJING: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is set to resume regular Friday flights between Islamabad and Beijing from October 30, restoring a direct air link between the capitals of Pakistan and China.
According to the airline, the Islamabad–Beijing–Islamabad service will operate every Friday, providing passengers with a direct travel option and reducing the time and inconvenience associated with indirect routes.
PIA said the service will cater to a wide range of passengers, including students, families, business travellers, tourists, and members of the Pakistani and Chinese communities. The airline said the resumption of regular flights is also expected to facilitate increased people-to-people exchanges and support commercial, tourism, educational and cultural ties between the two countries.
The airline has also highlighted its cooperation with Chinese carriers, including Air China and Shenzhen Airlines, to provide onward connectivity from Beijing to destinations across China.
Through these partnerships, passengers travelling via Beijing can access connections to more than 25 cities across China, expanding the reach of PIA’s Islamabad–Beijing service.
PIA said it remained committed to maintaining safe, reliable and regular air services between Pakistan and China, citing the growing demand for travel between the two countries.
The airline has also announced that passengers can book tickets through PIA offices, authorised travel agents and major online booking platforms.
The resumption of the weekly service is expected to provide passengers with an additional direct travel option while supporting stronger links between Pakistan and China. –Agencies
