ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad district administration held a detailed review meeting to assess the performance of Assistant Commissioners and magistrates across the federal capital.
Deputy Commissioner Irfan Memon chaired the session, which was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner General, Assistant Commissioners and magistrates from different areas.
During the meeting, officials presented updates on price control measures and operations against encroachments in various parts of the city. The progress of the dengue prevention campaign was also reviewed, with a focus on enforcement measures and compliance with health guidelines.
The meeting also examined the district administration’s anti-begging campaign and ongoing action against illegal sheesha cafés. Officials briefed the deputy commissioner on operations conducted in different sectors and areas of the capital.
Judicial matters were another key item on the agenda. Assistant Commissioners provided updates on court-related cases and administrative proceedings. The deputy commissioner directed officers to expedite the disposal of pending cases and ensure timely handling of judicial matters.
Performance reports of the Citizen Facilitation Centres in G-11 and Tarlai were also presented. The meeting reviewed public services being provided through these centres and discussed measures to improve service delivery and public access.
Officials further briefed the meeting on enforcement actions against plastic bags, illegal LPG outlets and unauthorized petrol agencies. Progress on operations against illegal cattle farms, unauthorized construction activities and unlawful wall chalking was also reviewed.
Deputy Commissioner Irfan Memon directed all officers to ensure strict implementation of the district administration’s open-door policy so that citizens can easily access public services and seek assistance.
He instructed Assistant Commissioners to continue daily operations against illegal sheesha cafés and maintain regular monitoring to ensure compliance with government directives.
The deputy commissioner also called for a public awareness campaign to inform residents about the anti-begging initiative and encourage community cooperation.
Regarding dengue prevention, he directed officials to take action against individuals and establishments violating dengue standard operating procedures. He stressed the need for consistent enforcement to reduce potential health risks.
Concluding the meeting, Irfan Memon instructed all field officers to focus on providing relief to citizens and ensure that administrative services remain accessible, efficient and responsive to public needs.
