DHO urges for timely hepatitis C screening

ISLAMABAD: The District Health Office (DHO) Islamabad is providing free hepatitis C screening, diagnosis and treatment at designated public health facilities under the Prime Minister’s National Programme for Elimination of Hepatitis C.
According to official source, the free services are available at Rural Health Centres (RHCs) Tarlai, Bhara Kahu and Sihala, Community Health Centres (CHCs) Rawat and Shah Allah Ditta and Basic Health Centres (BHCs) Sohan and Golra Sharif.
Citizens can also avail themselves of free consultation, hepatitis screening and available medical services at government health facilities across Islamabad.
The DHO advised citizens to undergo timely screening, adopt preventive measures and seek medical advice for early diagnosis and treatment.
Early detection and appropriate treatment can help prevent complications and reduce the spread and health burden of hepatitis C.
Citizens were encouraged to visit their nearest government health facility to avail themselves of the free services and protect their health and that of their families.
