ISLAMABAD: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad Ali Waseem, accompanied by SSP Model Prison Islamabad Ali Akbar, visited the under-construction jail in Islamabad and conducted a detailed review of the construction work, security arrangements and other related matters.
During the visit, the concerned officers briefed him on the progress of construction and the arrangements in place. DIG Islamabad directed the relevant officers to ensure that the construction work is completed on time and in accordance with the prescribed standards, while ensuring effective management of all related matters.
Meanwhile, SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza chaired an important meeting with officers of the Rural and Sohan Zones. The meeting was attended by SP Rural Zeeshan Ali, the relevant Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs). The performance of officers was reviewed individually, while briefings were received on crime prevention, the law and order situation, and ongoing operations against criminal elements.
SSP Operations Islamabad directed the officers to intensify effective and targeted operations against active criminal gangs, utilize all available resources to prevent crime and adopt a coordinated strategy to bring those involved in criminal activities to justice. He further emphasized that protecting the lives and property of citizens remains the foremost priority of Islamabad Police.
He directed all officers to perform their duties with dedication and professionalism and ensure effective measures to curb crime across the federal capital.
