ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday underscored Pakistan’s commitment to international law, the UN Charter, and the strengthening of multilateral cooperation.
Addressing the closing ceremony of the four-day training programme “Advanced Treaty Practice: From Signature to Domestic Law,” the deputy PM highlighted Pakistan’s constructive role as a responsible member of the United Nations Security Council over the past two years, and reaffirmed the importance of treaty compliance, legal certainty, and peaceful dispute resolution in maintaining a stable international order.

The training programme was organised by the Ministry of Law and Justice in collaboration with the International Mediation and Arbitration Centre (IMAC).
DPM/FM Ishaq Dar welcomed and congratulated the participants from Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, China, Pakistan, and Türkiye, and commended their active engagement throughout the course.
He appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Law and Justice, IMAC, and Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar for successfully convening a high-quality capacity-building initiative for friendly countries, focused on strengthening treaty practice.
He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong and enduring partnerships with the friendly countries of Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, China, and Türkiye. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to participants, marking the successful completion of the programme. –Agencies
