ISLAMABAD: A two-day progress review meeting of the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) Balochistan was held to assess immunization performance, review key challenges and set priorities for further strengthening vaccination services across the province.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Health Balochistan Mujeeb ur Rehman, National Coordinator for Polio Muhammad Anwar-ul-Haq, Balochistan Coordinator Inam-ul-Haq and national and provincial core team members.
Representatives of EPI, PEI, UNICEF, WHO, Aga Khan University and other development partners also participated in the meeting. The participants reviewed progress and achievements under routine immunization, vaccination coverage and programme implementation, with particular focus on addressing operational and field-level challenges.
Discussions also covered measures to improve immunization services and strengthen coordination among provincial and development partners. The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of all stakeholders to expanding vaccination coverage and reaching every child in every community with life-saving vaccines.
