ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police is organizing a series of events under “Ghazi Week.”
The purpose of these events is to honor the courageous and dedicated Ghazi police officers who have shown extraordinary bravery, unwavering determination, and made remarkable sacrifices while performing their official duties.
In this regard, dignified dinners were hosted in honor of the Ghazis of Islamabad Police and their families. The events were attended by senior officers of Islamabad Police, office bearers of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce, and respected members of civil society.
During the ceremony, DIG Security Muhammad Ateeque Tahir, DIG Headquarters Malik Jameel Zafar, AIG Logistics, SSP VVIP Protection Capt. (R) Syed Zeeshan Haider, SSP CTD, SP Headquarters, and other officers presented medals, commendation certificates, and gifts to the Ghazi police officers in recognition of their bravery, perseverance, and selfless sacrifices.
While addressing the ceremony, senior officers stated that the Ghazis of Islamabad Police are not merely part of a force but are living examples of courage, sacrifice, and a strong sense of duty.
These are the brave individuals who stood firm in the face of danger, ensured the rule of law, and illuminated the path to peace with their blood. Their courage and bravery serve as a guiding light and a symbol of determination for future generations.
They further added that Islamabad Police stands firmly with these brave individuals at all times and considers their welfare a top priority. Paying tribute to their courage, resilience, spirit of service, and sacrifices, senior police officers reaffirmed their commitment that their services will always be remembered. It was also emphasized that the families of those who sacrifice for the nation are equally deserving of respect, as they are the ones who dedicate their loved ones for the country’s secure future.
The brave individuals, who sacrifice their present for the future of others, will always be remembered in history with golden words. It is noteworthy that so far, 169 officers of Islamabad Police have been honored with the title of “Ghazi.”
These are the fearless and brave officers who stood like a wall of steel against miscreants and criminals during the performance of their duties, sustained serious injuries without regard for their own lives, yet never let their resolve weaken.
