ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held an important security meeting. The meeting was attended by senior officers from Islamabad Police, Punjab Police, and Frontier Constabulary.
During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on overall security arrangements in the federal capital, particularly to ensure foolproof security in light of the arrival of foreign delegations.
Special emphasis was also placed on improving inter-provincial coordination, organizing joint operations more effectively, enhancing surveillance of sensitive locations, and ensuring efficient and well-organized traffic management so that citizens face minimal inconvenience and traffic flow remains smooth.
The IGP Islamabad issued clear directives to all officers, stating that all relevant institutions must remain in close coordination and be fully prepared at all times to handle any potential situation.
He further emphasized that, along with security, effective traffic arrangements must also be ensured so that, in addition to the safety of citizens, a secure and peaceful environment can be provided to foreign guests. The IGP Islamabad added that maintaining law and order in the federal capital and providing the best possible facilities to citizens are their top priorities.
In this regard, officers were instructed to utilize all available resources and ensure their presence in the field at all times to guarantee effective implementation of all security and traffic plans.
