Islamabad: Islamabad Capital Territory Police, also known as Islamabad Police, have appointed Pakistan speedster, Haris Rauf, as their honorary Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). For this appointment, a ceremony was held by ICT in Islamabad, in which the pacer was formally dressed in police uniform and the honorary rank were giving by IG Islamabad Police, Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan.
Rauf shared his excitement after being appointed the goodwill ambassador of ICT Police. Rauf has taken 72 T20I wickets and 30 ODIs wickets for Pakistan. He was recently spotted at the Wagah Border with the PSL 8 Trophy, which he won with Lahore Qalandars.
It seems to be a trend between police of different regions and Pakistan pacers, as earlier this year, Naseem Shah was also appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador of Balochistan Police. The police department of Balochistan gave Naseem the DSP rank in the function that took place at the IG Balochistan Police Office, Quetta.
