SANAA: Yemen’s Houthi group has claimed that Saudi Arabia carried out 26 airstrikes on areas under its con-trol over the past 24 hours, as fighting escalates in the country’s revived civil war.
The group said the strikes targeted several areas across Houthi-held territory.
The Houthis also claimed that the number of Saudi strikes on their positions had reached 300 over the past week.
The claims come as the Houthis and Yemen’s Saudi-backed government continue to clash amid re-newed fighting in the long-running conflict.
There was no immediate independent confirmation of the Houthi claims. –Agencies
