Lady busted during raid at distillery

-Huge cache of liquor, arms recovered

ISLAMABAD: A distillery was raided in Pindorain; PS Khanna jurisdiction area, which led to the recovery of a huge quantity of liquor and alcohol, hashish and weapons.
According to details, following the directives and under the able guidance of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar, renewed efforts are underway to curb bootlegging and drug peddling activities in the city. In this regard, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-din Syed has conducted special meetings with heads of police stations and directed them to accelerate efforts against anti-social elements.
Thus, at a tip off this Thursday, SP Investigation Dr Syed Mustafa Tanveer constituted a team to initiate raid at a distillery in the area. The given team under the supervision of DSP CIA Hakim Khan including ASIs Fawad Khalid, Amir Hayat, Safdar Hussain, Fayyaz Ahmed, along with others, conducted a raid and recovered huge quantity of liquor, alcohol, other materials, 95 grams hashish and one 30 bore pistol along with other ammunition. Cops also nabbed a lady accused Atfa-ul-Nisa, resident of Pindoran, Islamabad. A case has been registered against the accused running the given distillery and further investigation is underway. A case has been regitered against the caught lady accused while further investigation is underway from her.
DIG Operations Waqar-ud-din Syed has appreciated this performance and directed for further effective measures against those involved in bootlegging and anti-social activities.
