ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Law and Justice, Azam Nazeer Tarar, has assured full cooperation for the renovation of bar rooms and the provision of better facilities for lawyers during a meeting with a delegation of the Islamabad High Court Bar Association (IHCBA).
The delegation was led by Bar Association President Syed Wajid Ali Gilani, according to a statement issued on Wednesday.
During the meeting, matters pertaining to issues faced by the legal community, renovation of bar rooms, provision of basic facilities, and ongoing development projects were discussed in detail. The delegation apprised the federal minister of various projects of the IHC Bar and measures for the improvement of facilities for lawyers.
The Law Minister described the role of the legal community as extremely important for the delivery of justice and the supremacy of law, and assured full cooperation for the renovation of bar rooms and the provision of better facilities to lawyers.
“The government will continue its measures for the welfare of the legal community and the improvement of the legal sector,” Tarar said.
The meeting also reaffirmed the commitment to strengthen relations between the bar and the bench, introduce reforms in the legal sector, and provide a conducive environment for lawyers.
