Today, 21st May, 2026, is a real landmark in the relations of Pakistan and China as all-weather and all-time tested friends would today will be celebrating their 75th Anniversary of establishment of diplomatic ties between Islamabad and Beijing with pride , honor and a lot to cherish. During these seven decades, both Chinese and Pakistani nations have transformed their relation of exemplary friendship to Iron- Brotherhood. They have transformed their bond of love to the extent where they today are no more just two neighboring States but a one big family. Though the real force and power between Pakistan and China has remained the people’s power yet the joint perceptions on all regional and international issues and immense coordination in such matters between Islamabad and Beijing has also played a very vital role in enhancing these relations at State levels.
If Pakistan was the 1st Islamic State to recognize People’s Republic of China around 75 years back then China also remained comprehensively supporting Islamic Republic of Pakistan in all directions and at all forums extraordinary hard work of its people and under the with China making immense progress and development during the past over 7 decades, owing to . Mao’s thought, Deng Xiaoping’s economic vision, Jiang Zemin’s theory of Three Represent and Xi Jinping’s new era of leadership, governance and poverty alleviation, Pakistan has also made tremendous development and progress in all fields under different leaderships and most of which could only be possible with immense cooperation of China.
Unlike almost all other States on globe where it is said that there are no permanent friends and no permanent enemies in the world anymore, Pakistan and China have emerged as the only 2 States that have not only remained permanent friends but in fact they have taken this friendship to new horizons and new heights and have become Iron Brothers. The depth of Pakistan, China relation could be gauged from the fact that during the past 75 years, diverse political and military leaders with diverse foreign policies have ruled Pakistan but there has never been even a slightest of decline in the relations between Islamabad and Beijing.
This reflects crystal clearly that Pakistan China relations have never got deterred by geo-political changes across the world and constantly changing regional security and diplomacy scenarios.
During the last 75 years, there has been immense cooperation between the governments of Pakistan and China and a number of joint Sino-Pak ventures in the fields of Defence, economy and health are crystal clear examples of the depth of the strategic cooperation between Beijing and Islamabad. While the most vibrant segment of China’s Belt and Road Initiative , the CPEC ( China Pakistan Economic Corridor) has come as a new flower to this ever-fragrant bouquet of exemplary friendship , the co-project like creation of state-of-the-art fighter jet named JF-17 THUNDER and CHASNUPP series of programs of nuclear energy for power generation are being witnessed by history for years. Last year’s Pakistan-India military clash emerged as yet another symbol of Pakistan –China collaborations in the Defense Sector, where Pakistani Forces, using Chinese Defense Technology in form of openly purchased J-10 C and jointly manufactured JF 17 Thunder Fighter Jets and missiles like PL-15 etc, caused a huge defeat to many times bigger enemy that invaded Pakistan. In the direction of media, journalists from both the countries also enjoy shared perceptions and there are almost similar editorial policies of Pakistani and Chinese newspaper. The press friendly and open media policies of Chinese government are again a crystal clear example of how much freedom of expression is available in China, contrary to the western propagandas. It was just this media friendly atmosphere in China and Chinese government’s belief in freedom of press and freedom of expression that inspired The Daily Mail to establish its bureau offices in China back in 2005, so that joint media perception can be utilized more effectively.
